Hi I'm Nicole

I am a mom of four sweet daughters and I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved, A LOT! We moved a lot growing up, but in the nine years since my husband and I were married we have moved 15 times. Our daughters were all born within 30 months of each other, now 8, 7, and twins are 6. I write children's books with my amazing sister-in-law/illustrator. I love to play the piano, learning and writing songs. I love spending time with my husband and daughters, my life was pretty nice before they came into it, but it cannot compare now. I love them with my whole heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I need Jesus Christ, I need the sacrifice of his life that he gave to us. I know he lives and died for us. I am a Mormon because I believe that he restored his church through Joseph Smith and continues to have living prophets today. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God, same as Moses or Adam. I know that following the teachings of Jesus Christ will bring us the most happiness and the best chance to return home to live with God. I believe that through this restored priesthood we can have the ordinances that we need to live with God again. There is a moment when I am accompanying someone on the piano and my fingers and their voice are in perfect sync, I can anticipate their every breath, exactly when they are going to sing the next note and the Holy Ghost fills my soul. If I hadn't sacrificed my time to learn the song, I never would have felt that intense joy. I have had too many moments like this, with music, with family, with people that I serve with to deny that there is a God. He lives! Anything worth having in life requires sacrifice, requires us to give our lives to others. When I give up my selfish desires for his will, I am filled with joy-every time. When I walk into the church on Sunday and see familiar faces who know me and love me, I'm home.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a home of hard working parents, that did so much good, in and out of the home. I try to follow their example by serving my faith in anyway that I can. I love trying new things and find any way that I can try something new, and help someone in the process. Whether its in church, at an activity, or in someones home. There are countless ways to serve. I am currently learning sign language to interpret weekly for a man at church. I love serving with music, by far my favorite way to serve. I love finding ways to involve my children in service, if I need to do something, find a way that they can help too. I have had difficult health issues the past year, and God has blessed me to know that anyone can serve, there is always something that anyone can do, no matter their circumstances. When I open my heart and let the spirit guide me to a need, I am filled with love and gratitude.
