Hi I'm Kiana

I'm a Mormon who cares.

About Me

I am 15 years old and live in Merced, California. I live with my mom, two sisters and one brother. I met the missionaries July 16, 2014. I visited the church July 19,2014 and was baptized shortly after on August 2, 2014. I am a little weird, I am outgoing, spirited, loud, fun, crazy at times, shy sometimes and very spontaneous.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason that I am Mormon is because I know this church is true. On July 16, 2014, I met my very first missionaries, Elder Boyes and Elder Urban, through my roommate who was apart of the Young Single Adults (YSA) branch in the church. The following day, July 17, I met with Elder Urban and another missionary, Elder Varner, who would be one of my ward missionaries. We had prayed, talked for awhile and I decided That I would visit the church that Saturday. Before ending our lesson they had asked me to do two things. They asked me to read moroni 10:3-5 and do what the verses had said, and I accepted what they asked of me. We ended our lesson with a word of prayer, and I had got to say hello to Elder Boyes and meet Elder Varner's Companion, who would be another one of my ward missionaries, Elder Orton. That Thursday night, I found myself a quiet place to read moroni 10:3-5. Basically the verse had said that if I pray and ask the lord with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Jesus Christ, he will manifest the truth unto me. So, I prayed and asked the lord if the Book of Mormon was true and if the Church was true. I ended my prayer and fell asleep. I woke up that Friday morning knowing in my heart and in my mind, that The Book of Mormon and the Church were True. I prayed and thanked the lord for leading me to the true church. I spent that day excited for Saturday. Saturday morning, I got picked up by Brother Hill and made my way to the church to take my church tour. I took my tour and when we finally got to the Baptismal Font, the Elders asked if I wanted to be baptized. I said yes and would start attending the church that following Sunday. I had lessons every day for two weeks, learning all about the church and our standards. After two weeks, I got baptized on Saturday August 2, 2014 and accepted the holy spirit that next day. I leave my testimony with you that i know this church is true and I love it. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going by our standards. I participate in our Young Women's, Attend church every Sunday and put God above everything.
