Hi I'm Harold Joseph Eugene Beaupre

I am a Marine, and a retired teacher, a mediator, a member of the honor guard, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was a Marine in the Korean war. Following the war I received my Masters in economics, where I then took on a career as a High School teacher. I retired from the teaching profession and my wife and I moved to Florida. In Florida I was a mediator for the small claims court. in 2001 I joined an honor guard where I have participated in over 1000 funerals.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I met a beautiful young lady. She was very popular and at least four other men proposed to her while I was courting her. She said she did not want to get married, she wanted to be a career woman. After twenty one years of courtship, one night while we were standing close to each other, a lightening bolt struck near by. We were not touched but her eyes appeared to grow larger and she said "I think it's time for us to get married!" We were married for 42 extremely happy years. When she died, my church at the time said it was over, "til death do you part". Three years in to our marriage some Mormon missionaries taught us otherwise. I believe that the lord meant for marriage to be eternal and so does the LDS church. It was then I became a Mormon and began to work toward being sealed to my wife for all time and eternity. I was sealed to her October 2013.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as a teacher both to families in their homes and helping instruct men on principles of the gospel. I like to visit members of the church and non members and share my testimony of faith, prayer, and my belief in eternal marriage. Although I have been a member of the church less than 2 years, I was a devout Catholic church member for nearly 84 years. I study my scriptures daily and look forward to the day when I will live again with my wife and heavenly father.
