Hi I'm Alpine

I grew up in The Philippines. I'm a guitarist/ drummer. A recent convert and proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 21 year old single adult who loves adventures and like to explore new things and outgoing person. I play soccer, tennis and badminton and my week ain't complete without surfing the net. Besides family and friends, my life is not complete without music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a devout Roman Catholic. A leader, youth teacher and a choir member. When l was little my Mom always told me to go to Church every Sunday, pray everyday and attend Church activities as I did all those things and that makes me really closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I grew up on Church with my siblings and friends and in my 19 years of being a Catholic, I was very active in Church. When I was 14, I tried to searched other Churches as I want to explore. Even though I am faithful on my religion, I still have many questions and as I grew on Church, I had that feeling of there's something incomplete. So I went to other Churches and asked from Pastors, Evangelist and even our own Priests etc. I got answered but it doesn't satisfy me at all. In spite of that, I remain a Catholic. One night my sister met a Mormon missionaries in front of our house, she talked to them and the missionaries asked for a visit. At first Im not that really convinced because for me this is just another Christian denomination. But in spite of that, I tried to listen to them and they taught a lesson called The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That was very new to me so I got interested. The Mormon missionaries were so humble so they had my trust so every week I set a return appointment. I grabbed the opportunity also to ask questions and why there are so many churches today? And I really felt the spirit when they answered my questions and for the first time I got satisfied of it. There was no wrong on my former religion, they teach about the gospel of Christ also but there was something incomplete. It was clear to me that the true and fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was gone but now it has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know those things are true with all my heart so I decided to be baptized. I am so lucky that I found the true Church of Jesus Christ and I enjoy the blessings of the true Gospel in my life that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I always put time to attend Church activities and read scriptures for at least one hour as part of how I live my faith. I do have church callings, a youth adviser and a part time missionary. In my free time, I work with the full time missionaries to share the Gospel and Invite others to come unto Christ. My faith grows and become stronger every time I bear my testimony about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
