Hi I'm Tucker Gunther

I don't want to take up too much of your time...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A lot of my friends know me as 'T-Guns' and not because of my muscles, but because of my first and last name smashed together. I am a missionary serving in the California San Diego mission. I have a wonderfully huge family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters with 2 parents. My childhood consisted of growing up in Utah right next to the Wasatch front mountain range, and being so close to nature I love to hike and be outdoors. If I would have to profess a love for a certain sport it would be ping-pong. I have plans to further my education by going to college and studying Nursing.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story began with my decision to serve a mission. I have had many great role models in my life, such as my Dad, my Grandpa's, and also my Uncle's but one of the most important was my older brother. When he decided to serve a mission I had it made up in my mind that I would follow his example and also serve a mission. I thought if I was going to serve a mission, I would have to be converted before I could convert others. Even though I was born and raised within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I didn't know for myself if it was really true. Logically it made sense because everything just works. If you have a problem through the Gospel of Jesus Christ you are able to find an answer if you sincerely desire. So I decided to start to pray sincerely to God. Praying consistently both day and night. Constantly I have had my testimony reaffirmed over and over because of my decision to seek revelation from God. I have felt the Spirit enter into my life. I can now say that I know that this Church is true. I have seen it work in my life and also in the lives of others. I know that we can gain the very same witness if we sincerely pray with faith. I know this because God loves us and won't leave us in the dark.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an obedient follower of Christ, but not only following him I try to become more like him. I try to be more Christ like by serving other people and I find that in serving people, both you and the person being served, are benefited and uplifted. I enjoy sharing my beliefs because then it reaffirms my testimony and my faith in Jesus Christ. I also share my beliefs because I want everyone to know the same truth that I have come to know as well as I want everyone to have the same happiness that I have. As a Missionary I have the amazing opportunity of serving people and sharing my beliefs. I have come to know that through living the the principles and doctrines that Christ taught, that we can all find the same joy and happiness.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Tucker Gunther
Hmmm.....why give up two years to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, when I could be going to college or getting married or starting my career? I have found that sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and also what I have come to know to be true, is kind of like a cake, or whatever your favorite desert is. I have tasted of the goodness of that cake and I don't want to be selfish and have it all to myself, but I want to share that with others. Not only does it make me happy to have come to a knowledge of the truth but then taking that knowledge and giving it to everyone else. Show more Show less
