Hi I'm Luke Albertson

I grew up in Roy, UT. I love Art, Engineering, and Music. I love God, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 3 siblings in my family. I have a little sister and a little brother. We're all 7 years apart, but my mother swears she didn't plan us that way! I grew up in the snowy Utah and spent much of my youth around the Ogden area, shoveling snow and laughing with my family. I am currently serving a mission in the Greater Georgia Atlanta area. I plan on going to college at Weber State University, and studying something that involves creating. I'm not sure what it'll be yet but I love to create, whether it be art, science, literature, design, engineering, etc. If you create anything, I love to do it! My free time is usually spent cooking, reading, listening to music, playing computer games like Portal 2, and with friends. I would love to travel more once I come home, get out of school, and find a job...

Why I am a Mormon

Living my faith is the essence of not only following Christ's teachings, but trying to become more like him. This is possible on a daily basis through the simple and small things in life-such as smiling and saying hello to people as they walk past me on the sidewalks or in the grocery store. I often try to say thank-you to others, even if its just because they took the time to listen to me. I try to say thanks particularly to my parents- especially when my mom makes dinner for the family. Living my faith is being patient and calm when things don't quite work out as planned. Music is also a huge part! I enjoy listening to uplifting music and love how it can help people go throughout the day.

How I live my faith

There is nothing that brings greater happiness in my life than my membership in the church. The teachings of the church have increased my faith in Jesus Christ, provided knowledge of God's plan for me personally, and simply makes me a much better person than I would be otherwise. The commandments keep me safe. I love knowing that God is the same as in olden times and continues to speak today through a living prophet. I am able to see the hand of God in my life on a daily basis. This is the only true church of Jesus Christ with the fullness of his teachings and his authority on the Earth- a bold statement, but I have learned for myself through thoughts and feelings as I have seriously studied the Book of Mormon and Bible, prayed, and applied the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life.
