Hi I'm Chloe - Anne Barker

I am a Mormon. I love it! I am from South Wales in the United Kingdom. I enjoy having the knowledge of the truth to live by.

About Me

I am a wife and Mum and Nana. I love my family. They are my world. I enjoy reading and gardening and shopping too. I love to see new places and meet new people. My days are always full. Never quite enough hours in the day but wouldn't have it any other way really. My faith is what brings everything together and puts meaning to everything I do. I love helping however I can. I am always happy to be needed and be there in any way I can. I am chatty and witty and enjoy getting together with family and friends as much as possible. Planning on being spontaneous!! So thankful for the plan of salvation and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

This is why I love my life. It makes sense of everything I do. The answers are there and there is no question it is the restored church of Jesus Christ here on earth in these latter days. Every question has an answer. It is a way to be truly HAPPY. Families are forever. Life is for learning. The scriptures show us the way to return home to our Heavenly Father. It is perfect! It is complete. I love it. I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach the young adults in a seminary class. It is wonderful to watch them grow and learn. They teach me lots too. It is a great program. I am humbled that Heavenly Father has faith In me to help serve in this area. Our young people are very inspiring. It is challenging but so worth it. I help out with our three grandchildren too when their mummy's are working. So lots to do and forever young at heart.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Chloe - Anne Barker
We help all who we can whether members or non members. Just as Jesus would have done when He was here on earth. It is our Christian belief to love our neighbour as yourself. Treat others as you would wish to be treated. Our time is the best gift we can give to one another. Our church donates and assists many countries in times of crisis , famine and war. Our Missionaries serve all men in preparing and preaching the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ to all corners of the earth today. Our message is for everyone and we are more than willing to share our testimony of the truth and live by example. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Chloe - Anne Barker
A testimony is something precious that you hold close to your heart and love with all your soul. It is the reassurance of all you hold dear and sacred in your life. We often refer to our testimony of the truthfulness of the church in exactly the same way. It is sometimes beyond words but the power of it is so inspiring you cannot help but share and declare it. My testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that it is the true Church of Jesus Christ restored by His Hands here on the earth as He intended it to be. Just as when He walked on this earth. It is precious and vital to me and because of it and through our Saviour we can live happy and fulfilled lives and return back to our Heavenly Home one day. I testify that I know this to be true. There is a prophet on the earth today who does receive revelation. That because of Him we too are guided and inspired and not left to wander without direction. The Book of Mormon was translated as a further testament to the truthfulness of the Bible. Through Joseph Smith who also was chosen to be a prophet and was an instrument in God's hands to bring the Restoration of The Gospel in this time and dispensation to its fullness. It is a wonderful gift. Christ is our advocate. His presence is the most amazing present you can receive in your life. I testify in His name the name of Jesus Christ that I do believe these things to be true without a doubt. Amen Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Chloe - Anne Barker
Just as you would respect a gift given to you by someone you love and keep it safely and hold it close so too are our bodies to be respected and cared for. Our homes are our sanctuary and little piece of heaven on earth. We are happiest where we feel safe and secure and loved. Our body is in fact the home where our spirit dwells within us. So it is vital that we care for it and respect and honour it at all times. I often relate it to wearing a nice new dress but covering it with a dirty old coat. The two just don't go together and you would feel far from comfortable or at your best. By the same relevance our spirits need to be nurtured. They are our gift from God. We need to respect and look after every thing that could potentially harm or hinder it. It is the temporary residence of our eternal spirit. Our health both physically and spiritually is priceless. We need to be wary of how we live, what we eat and how we look after ourselves. Our minds, hearts and bodies need to be strong and clean so we can be worthy of our divine potential and the promptings of the spirit to guide us through our eternal journey. We are indeed temples of our living God. He is our Father in heaven and He is In each of us. Show more Show less
