Hi I'm Kylie

My family joining the church was the greatest blessing in my life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kylie and I am a Mormon. I am from Colorado and am currently attending school at BUY-Idaho working on my marriage and family studies degree, the wonder mom degree, just kidding :) I just got married and its the best thing in the whole wide world. I feel like my life has started over but this time I have my best friend to take it on with. I love my family more then anything and I wish they all lived next door. I have the best friends and I'm so grateful I am able to stay so close to them although they are so far away.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it. My family was led to the church when I was about eight years old. We were not the religious type before we joined. My father had been raised Catholic and my mother was raised as a Christian Scientists but neither of them were still practicing. My grandmother had joined the church about 20 years before so we had heard a lot about it; but we weren't interested. Mom and Dad liked their carefree life style so when it was time to move from California, we had the option of going to Utah or to Colorado. They chose Colorado because "they didn't want to be around all the Mormons". While living in Colorado, Mom was working in a nursing home late night on the graveyard shift. When she started hearing the name "Mormon" she would be driving to work and she would here "Mormon" in the middle of the night she would hear the name "Mormon" she tried to forget and pretend it wasn't there but everyday there it was again "Mormon". So one day she decided it was time to figure out why she was hearing this name so distinctively. We had a copy of the Book of Mormon in the basement that my grandmother had left that mom had dusted around for years refusing to even touch. She found the book and began reading. Later that night when Dad got home from work, Mom was eager to tell Dad that it was time and we were going to be Mormons now. They called the missionaries that night and a few months later we were all baptized. I am so thankful that my precious mother was so receptive to the still small voice of the spirit and was able to recognize the push from the Holy Ghost she had to read the Book of Mormon and to call the missionaries. I love the church with all of my heart. It is everything to me. It isn't just a religion, it is a way of life. Something that gives me hope for everything I do and see. Everything and everyone around us has a purpose and it is all apart of Gods plan for each one of us.

How I live my faith

I am a Mormon.
