Hi I'm Kolin

I grew up in Utah, I raced BMX bicycles, I am serving a mission in McAllen, Texas and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up trying out every sport but didn't find anything I was interested in until I found BMX racing. I raced for 7 years starting when I was 11. I enjoy any kind of bicycling from road biking to mountain biking. I work on bikes in my free time and I love working around anything mechanical. I graduated from high school in 2014 and during my senior year I became a state-certified EMT. I have been called to serve a mission in Mcallen, Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. For the longest time I coasted through my life knowing that both of my parents knew the church was true. I trust my parents so I felt that I had a testimony but it wasn't something I found out for myself until I got to highschool. I didn't understand that not gaining my own testimony would make it extremely difficult to keep the standards taught in the church when opportunities to give into temptation arose. We had a Missionary Preparation Camp between my 10th and 11th grade years of high school and for the first time I honestly felt that the gospel that I had been learning about and the God that we speak about is real and very true. I have continued to develop my own testimony and through sincere repentance and diligence in keeping the commandments of The Lord, I have found the true happiness and joy that comes only through Him and through the knowledge of the gospel. I am happy and feel peace in my life because I know this church is true and I know The Lord lives and he knows me and loves me just as he knows and loves every single one of us and wants nothing but happiness for us.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every week and I try my best to live what is taught there. I have had the opportunity to serve in leadership positions within my youth groups as I have grown up. My dad and I have taught families in our neighborhood through hometeaching and I have learned to serve others through that experience.
