Hi I'm David

Born and raised in Washington. I like the out of doors. Believe it or not, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the 10th child in a family of 11, and I love every last one of them. I have 14 nieces and nephews and I like them too. I have lived all my life in the Pacific Northwest and I luv it thr. Way back when I was in high school I participated in football, track, mock trial, leadership, yearbook, and other fun stuffs like that. Faith, family, friends, and food are what I hold dear ♥ and I guess I'll throw four-wheeling and football on that list too since they both start with an f. Plus I love being a missionary in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. I love learning and growing and becoming better because I need a lot of that. And that about sums me up.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is literally Jesus Christ's church. What better reason is there? He is at it's head and is actively leading and guiding it through His prophet and with His priesthood. With His priesthood we have the ability to participate in the ordinances that are necessary to return to God's presence. Through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can not only be saved, but exalted. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it has the fullness of Jesus Christ's Gospel, restored and kept pure through a prophet called of God. Through a prophet we have the Book of Mormon. Of all the things we can study, nothing will help us more than studying and learning more about Jesus Christ. It's such a blessing to have another source to learn of Jesus Christ along with the Bible. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it gives me the opportunity to learn and grow and to practice living how Christ would have me live. I will never be perfect in this life, but through being a member of the church I have many many opportunities to try.

How I live my faith

I am fortunate to have been a member my whole life and to have the great examples my parents and siblings have set for me. I think of them often and try to be like them. I attend church every Sunday and try to live a life focused on Christ and His teachings even when it's not Sunday. Through choosing to serve a mission my faith has been tested and tried and thus grown. Jesus Christ teaches us to help those who need it, and that is what I try to do whenever possible. Serving a mission has humbled me more than any other single experience in my life and has helped me realize how much more active and diligent I can and should be in living my faith. We show our appreciation for and devotion to Jesus Christ and His atonement by living His Gospel with as much exactness and happiness as we can muster.
