Hi I'm Alysa Winter

California is my home. Family, friends and the gospel are the things that are most important to me. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Alysa. My favorite thing to do is to play soccer. I went to Southern Virginia University for a year to play soccer there and the experience changed my life. It is an LDS based school and the atmosphere and the people are amazing. There, I strengthened my testimony and am now preparing to serve a mission! I love this gospel more than anything and I am so grateful that I am part of the true church!!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a member of this church because I know of the truth of it's teachings. I have firm testimony that this is the only true church here on Earth. I have testimony of the truth of the Book of Mormon and that Prophet Thomas S. Monson is a the living prophet of our church, whom we receive instruction and guidance from. I am a member of this church because I know that the people in my church care about me, that they have the same standards as me and would do anything to serve our Heavenly Father. I am a member of this church because it gives me so many opportunities to help and serve others. I know that through serving my fellow men, I am serving my Heavenly Father. I am a member of this church because of the happiness, light and joy it brings to me. I am a member of this church because I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. I know that this church is true and I encourage any one who is interested to come to church on Sunday, feel the love from our Savior and see exactly why all of us love our church and follow the gospel. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. I have been lucky enough to be able to be part of a committee that plans activities for the Single's Ward (Young Adults ages 18+). We plan fun things like barbeques, service projects, just activities that bring us together and help us to strengthen our testimonies of the gospel and our bonds as members of the church.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Alysa Winter
There are many ways that we can increase our faith in Jesus Christ. To do this we should be obedient to God's commandments, we should study our scriptures, we should pray to our Heavenly Father and express to Him our desires to grow our faith in Christ, and we should attend church. Through these few simple steps our faith will begin to grow and through continued and sincere effort on our part, Heavenly Father will bless us with the faith we desire. Show more Show less
