Hi I'm Kelsey Burton

I'm a photographer, artist, California girl, Southern Virginia University graduate, recent UT resident and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a Southern Virginia University graduate, with an Art Degree. By day I'm a receptionist in a corporate office in the beautiful Avenues in Salt Lake City and by night a hostess at PF Changs China Bistro. On weekends I'm an artist and a photographer, as well as a dogsitter. And everyday I'm a proud bunny rabbit parent. I've made it a life goal to travel to all the places, most especially ones with Castles and Mouse ears. I'm a cookie feen and a lover of all things music when played on vinyl. My life mission is to find my potential as a single mid 20 year-old woman and encourage and help others find their potential.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is a degree of happiness I have that I don't find anywhere else. My happiness stems from my constant effort and desire to progress in a way that is more than what the world says I can become. I am a Mormon because I have the ability to see people for the good and who they can become. I am a Mormon because I have the opportunity to be a better person each day and to help others become their best selves. I am a Mormon because I love who I am and who I am becoming.

How I live my faith

Having lived my life in 3 different states and situations, I've been able to find what works perfectly for me as to be a Mormon in this modern and diverse world. And that's what is so amazing about this life, that everything is very much personal and individual. I love that I have the constant choice to live my faith the way I believe it and know what is true for me and the plan that God has prepared for and with me. I'm able to understand people more because I see them individually and not generally. I see their strengths as I see my own personal strengths. I see the goodness of another as I see the goodness of my own heart. I take every person, place, situation, and opportunity day by day and case by case. And I am able to understand that everything isn't black and white, that there is an array of different colors and that's what makes living my faith so amazing and inspiring, because I'm encouraged to view life in this way.

What is the Relief Society?

Kelsey Burton
Relief Society is a type of "Women's Society". It is meant for women 18 and up. It was made by Heavenly Father as a place in which women can come together and show the "pure love of Christ" to all. We as women have divine potential to make a difference in the world through our skills, talents, and love. This society helps every woman realize that potential. Show more Show less
