Hi I'm Dustin

I am an average Joe just trying to make it day by day. I'm a Mormon

About Me

-I am a struggling Father and Husband who loves his wife and kiddos to death -I am a Financial Analyst and currently work as a Competitive Market Analyst -I am a Reservist in the New York Army National Guard and have deployed to Iraq -I am a scout master and enjoy working with the youth -I love to smoke (Pork butts, ribs, chicken, brisket, veggies, fruits and anything else edible) -I love football go BYU and The Raiders! -I love out door activities I love to sleep

Why I am a Mormon

-While I was born into the Mormon faith and it has been instrumental in setting me on my life path. -I continue to actively follow the faith for the love of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. -I have lost a son and the teachings of our savior through his prophets is that we can live together again and that he will always be my son even though we are separated by mortal death. Why I am Mormon is based on my faith, rooted in hope and charity

How I live my faith

I fall short many times as I am crass in my manners at time but I attempt to always help those in need and stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. I have a natural friendly disposition to all and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I do not hold others weaknesses against them and I expect the same. Although I love talking I am better at living the gospel through my deeds in working and interacting with others.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Dustin
In my mind from what I have studied, been taught, read and surmised is that we as the children of our heavenly father are here on earth to be tested, tried and taught. I think of it as going away to college or training; We leave our parents to go learn, be tested and eventually graduate to take our place in society. In this life we left the presence of our heavenly parents to learn, experience, be tested and eventually return to live with our families for the eternities. Life is suppose to be hard and we are suppose to experience both the highs and the lows. We just have to keep on keeping on and learn a little every day and in the end our Savior will redeem us of our mistakes if we but reach out to him and follow his example. Show more Show less
