Hi I'm Loren Saliva

I grew up in the Philippines. I'm a theater actress.I will serve in Temple Square Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a theater actress in our school before that's why i love the spotlight, i love acting. I graduated Mass Communication and worked at several companies but right now I'm just preparing for my mission. I also bake at home, actually I love it. Nobody taught me, I just depend on the internet for the recipes but it's okay. I'm not that good yet in baking but i love doing it... so i practice a lot and make my family and friends full with cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, pastas and etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember the time I was fasting because I want to receive an answer from the Lord if I should go on a mission or not, I immediately got an answer. I was reading 1 nephi: 1 and suddenly it struck me, I've read that verse before but that time it's like every word is for me giving me an answer from the Lord. I suddenly cried and wrote everything on my journal that comes in my mind. Important part of that message is this - "I will go and serve on a mission, finally i will serve". I know that i didn't say or write that in my journal because i just want to, but it's the answer from my prayer, the spirit let me utter those words so i will know what the Lord wants me to do. Then I went back to my bishop that Sunday, and I told him everything i wrote from my journal and we're crying because we can feel the spirit was with us. I know that I have that desire to serve the lord and that is the most important reason why i will serve- Because i have that desire back which i lost before. 3 nephi:5 "Behold I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." I know that I will be sent to SLC Temple Square Mission for a purpose, and i will strive to accomplish my purpose. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and they love us. I strongly believe that families can be together forever and i will become an example for them so we will be together through all eternity. I know that Pres. Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet and Joseph Smith is the one who restored our church. I know that our church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. I know it's true and I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

How I live my faith

I'm active in church activities, I share my talents to them. They said that they can't do anything without me when I leave but I don't believe them because i taught them everything i know already. I'm a young women 1st counselor in our ward but every time we have an activity I felt like i'm a member of all the auxiliary. I make videos for the ward, I teach every auxiliary for their presentations like the youth, relief society, elders quorum, primary or single adults. I love to be in the church. I'm really happy i can share all I know to them and make them happy and fulfilled.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Loren Saliva
God has established families to bring happiness to his children, to allow us to return to him after we die. The family is the most important unit in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. The church exists to help families gain eternal blessings and exaltation. The organizations and programs withing the church are designed to strengthen us individually and help us live as families forever. We believe that families can be together forever. For us to enjoy that blessing we must be sealed in the temple. If we keep our covenants with the Lord, our families will be united eternally as husband, wife and children. Death cannot separate us. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ Show more Show less

What is faith?

Loren Saliva
Faith is hope for things which are not seen which are true.Like air, we cant see it but we absolutely can feel it. The Lord we cannot see him but we can feel his presence and we know that he lives and he loves us. I know that this principle is very important before we can gain a testimony of God. To have faith is to trust god in all our doings and he will direct us for good. I know that I have faith in him that's why i'm obeying his commandments. Show more Show less
