Hi I'm Connor

Born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, and called to serve in the Vancouver Canada mission!

About Me

I'm 18 years old and have chosen to serve a full-time mission. I have been brought up in the church and have always desired to serve a mission. I absolutely love cars, my favorite which is the McLaren 650S, and will be majoring in mechanical engineering at ASU two years from now. One of my hobbies is going to see movies at the theatre, the last one which I was able to see before my mission was Guardians of the Galaxy (I highly recommend it!). As for physical activities, I love mountain biking with my friends, jogging and working out at the gym.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have always been strong in the gospel thanks to a family that has made going to church and reading the scriptures a consistent habit. My testimony of The Book of Mormon increased drastically my senior year of high school, during the year of seminary that the focus of study was The Book of Mormon. I hadn't always read The Book of Mormon everyday, but I had gone to seminary each day of the week, and I made it a personal goal to finish the book by a specific date. That day was set on a fast Sunday, and I was house sitting for a family in the ward, and I knew I had to finish reading The Book of Mormon, or I could never say completely to others that I knew it was true. I fasted that I would be able to finish it that day, and after church ended, I devoted my time to finish reading it. When I had read the last verse, at first, my only thoughts were how hungry I was as it was getting late into the evening. But as I knelt and prayed that night, a realization came to me. A realization that each and every verse I read felt right. That the Holy Ghost was with me that day, testifying of the truthfulness of not only The Book of Mormon, but of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His church. I knew it was true, and I knew from another past experience, one of the strongest if not the strongest feeling that has ever come upon me, that Jesus Christ wanted me personally to serve a mission. That without me, many people may not come to know of His gospel as I have been blessed to come to know it. It is for these reasons, for my testimony of The Book of Mormon, for the knowledge I have of my Savior Jesus Christ and for the Spirit that is in me which allows me to write these words that I am a Mormon; a disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a full-time mission and strive to represent Jesus Christ in all that I think, say and do. Before my mission call, my father was my home teaching companion and we made it our goal to never miss one month of home teaching, and we never did! I am now blessed to learn so much more about service and charity during these next couple years.
