Hi I'm Jaylynn

I was born and raised in Arkansas. I taught elem school in Arkansas for 3 years. I am currently serving a mission. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Jaylynn. I'm 25 years old. I was an elementary school teacher for 3 years in Arkansas. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Denver Colorado North Mission. I love to read and run. I am blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into an LDS family. However, I had to decide at one point or another if this path really was for me. I don't have an exciting or amazing story. It's pretty simple. I read the Book of Mormon several times. I prayed to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was Christ's restored church on the earth today. I have found that as I study and pray about each part of my testimony, it develops even more. I feel the Spirit testify to me that all of these things are true.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church in the same ward my whole life. I have been active in serving in callings such as young women class president, visiting teacher, visiting teaching supervisor, Relief Society (women's organization) teacher, ward missionary, and I try to go out with the full-time missionaries as much as possible. They are one reason I decided to serve a full-time mission. I live my faith by doing what my stake president calls the "holy habits". This includes daily scripture study, personal prayer morning and night, Family Home Evenings, and improving myself and trying to be a little better each day. I am excited to be able to serve an 18 month mission beginning August 20, 2014 to help share this gospel with others.
