Hi I'm Matthew

My family and I have lived all around the world. I've been called as a missionary to serve in Brazil for 2 years. I'm Mormon!

About Me

My family and I have lived overseas since I was only 5 years old. I've lived in such countries as Japan, England, South Korea, and Italy. My dad works for the Department of Defense as a school teacher on the U.S. military bases, so we travel with him. I love being with family and friends. As a runner, I participate as a member of the Track and Field and Cross Country teams. One of my favorite hobbies is to solve the Rubik's Cube; my fastest solve time is only 11 seconds! I just recently graduated Naples American High School, located in Italy, and have been accepted to BYU Provo. However, I have differed to serve a full-time mission. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Brazil Piracicaba mission, and look forward to spreading the Gospel with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the faith, and have built up my testimony to what it is today. I continue to live as member of this wonderful church because I know it to be true. I know the gospel to be true. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, just as the Bible is, and it contains the records of an ancient people who lived on the American continent. The teachings of the prophets of that time can and are used to help guide our lives just as the teachings from the prophets from the Bible are. I know that Christ is our Savior. He lived and died so that our Father's plan could work. He atoned for our sins, our pains, struggles, temptations, and every trouble we will ever come across. He knows each one of us, by name, and what we are dealing with. We can look to Him for guidance in everything, because he understands us better than we do ourselves. This is why I am a Mormon- because it is true.

How I live my faith

I love participating in church activities and sharing my beliefs with others.
