Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a little crazy, very happy, and I'm a Mormon!!:)

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University and have been called to serve a mission in Spokane, Washington. I am the second of four children. I am legally blind. I love Jesus Christ and being a member of His church. I love camping, being outside, family traditions, playing in the rain, hugs, my crazy family, singing, reading, writing, Christmas, sunsets, cooking, running, cute mismatched socks, chocolate, and smiling. :) Sometimes life gets tough, but most amazing adventures do, and my Savior is always there to lift me up and love me. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and want to follow Him. I am a Mormon because I have prayerfully read and studied the Book of Mormon many times, and I receive witnesses from the Holy Ghost that it is another true testament of Jesus Christ as I do. I am a Mormon because I want my family to be together forever through temple ordinances and covenants with God performed by His divine authority. I am a Mormon because I believe in living prophets, apostles, and servants of the Lord on the earth today. I am a Mormon because I have received witnesses from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and restored Christ's full Gospel and authority to the earth under the direction of my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I am a Mormon because I know and feel that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that He loves me. I am a Mormon because living the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy and helps me to become more like Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day in an everyday kind of way. I pray to my loving Heavenly Father and listen as His Spirit teaches me. I study His word in the scriptures. I tell my family and friends that I love them. I try to take care of and strengthen my body and my mind. I attend, learn, and serve in the Temples of the Lord. I go to church and keep the Sabbath. I look for ways to help and love the people around me, whether that's by smiling or bringing someone a plate of cookies; I just try to be Christ's hands and do His work. Most importantly though, I mess up. I make mistakes. I sin. I cry. I struggle. I fall short. And when I do, I don't give up. I pray for forgiveness, try to make right what I did wrong, and strive to forsake my shortcomings and sins. I ask to be made clean and strong in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I rely on Him and try to live like Him. :)
