Hi I'm Hannah

I am an artist. I love to laugh, learn and love. I am a Mormon! :)

About Me

I was born and raised in the south, which has shaped who I am. I am an artist, attending school for graphic design. I graduated early from high school in Georgia and decided to move out to be independent at the age of 17. I drove across country with my sister to Utah where she helped me for a few months until I "got on my feet." I moved into my own apartment with my puppy, and have worked my way through school since, paying for almost everything. I work as a nanny and a household manager. Being on my own has helped me grow in so many ways and I've learned many necessary life lessons. I have a passion for UFC and mma. I love to be outside, riding 4-wheelers, hiking, or just frolicking in the grassy knolls. Laughing is the essence of life! I enjoy good, pure comedy. I am a lover of the fine arts; I love to dance, listen to music and create artwork.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and baptized at 8, I had a rocky teenage-hood. I had a rebellious streak and it was hard for me to attend church weekly (but my loving mother talked me into going anyway). I fell into weakness and found it hard to fight for strength, even though in my heart I knew what I should and shouldn't be doing. As I moved out of my house and into my own apartment 2,000 miles away, I started to make my own decisions for my own reasons. I knew that I wanted to be strong in the Gospel and that I was the only one who could make me do just that. I began to attend church because I wanted to be there. I received the calling to teach Relief Society (Sunday-school for women 18+) at the age of 18. It scared me to death teaching women who I felt were stronger and wiser than I was. However, that calling helped me to grow immensely! I enjoyed the opportunity (that everyone has) to repent of my past sins and humble myself before the Lord, asking him to help me fight my battles towards my weaknesses. I know that my Savior lives and loves me. He suffered for not only my sins, sorrows and pains, but everyone who has ever lived. He died so that I have the opportunity to live an eternal life with my Heavenly Father and my earthly family as well. Families are a beautiful gift from the Lord; they help us to gain Christlike qualities of serving, loving unconditionally, and forgiving. Families are forever. I know that Heavenly Father answers every prayer. They are most often not the answers or the timing that we want, but He always has our best interest at heart. He knows my weaknesses and my strengths. I am grateful for my trials; they have helped me turn to my Redeemer for humility and strength. I know that Thomas S. Monson receives guidance for these latter-days. I am beyond grateful for everything Christ has blessed me with. I see His hand in my every day. I would be lost without my knowledge of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

Although I have been a member my whole life, I am continually growing in my faith. I am constantly learning from others as I attend church weekly. I attend one of the many LDS temples in Utah each week. Attending the temple gives me strength to continue through each week, and any trial I may be facing. Even if you are not able to walk inside the temple yet, the grounds are incredibly peaceful and beautiful! Attending the temple and feeling the spirit so strongly inside has helped my faith in my Savior to grow immensely. I love to share Gospel truths with whomever I talk to. I am preparing to be a full-time mission for the Church (fall of 2014 - spring of 2016). I was also called as a ward missionary (for the area boundaries of our congregation). We simply visit and assist anyone in need, LDS or non-LDS. Music is another way I choose to uplift my life. Good, wholesome music that invites the spirit helps me to keep a clean mind, a loving heart, and a calm spirit.
