Hi I'm Hana

I love to bake. I'm an elementary librarian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second to youngest child in a family of seven kids. I absolutely love being a part of a large family because of all the personalities we have. We love to have fun, talk story, and laugh. Moments with all of my parents, siblings, and their families are the BEST! Things may get crazy, but I love it! There's never a dull moment in my family. Besides spending time with family, I love to bake--fruit pies, cookies, cakes, breads, and anything else! Give me a recipe and I'll try my best to make it. I also love stories, whether it's in a book format or movie. I love the way the storylines engulf me and carry me away into far and imagined lands. Partly because I love books, I graduated with a Masters in Library and Information Science and became an elementary school librarian. The kids are awesome to work with and teach, the teachers are great to collaborate with, and all my passions can be utilized as the librarian!

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a couple of generations on both of my parents' sides. When I was eight years old, I was baptized into the Church because I felt it was right. As I grew up, my life wasn't easy, but I led a blessed life because of my simple testimony in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. While I was a college student and grad student, I really began to solidify my testimony. I never doubted my testimony, but I knew I needed to be more grounded in what I believed in for when I encountered much tougher and challenging times. Every day I saw reasons of why I was blessed and proud to be a member of the LDS church. From being kept safe while driving, to completing papers and projects, to feeling enormous comfort numerous times for a variety of questions and challenges, I knew that I was (and still am) being watched over and guided in my life. I know the gospel is true and will never think different. I have a firm belief that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, and I am more than ecstatic to one day meet them again. I hope that I am leading a righteous life, one that they will be proud of. I am Mormon because I want to enter the House of the Lord, participate in the ordinances and covenants there, so I can be with my parents and six crazy siblings (and their families) forever. I look forward to being sealed for eternity to my husband, and then creating an eternal family with him. I love that when I make mistakes, I am still able to repent and draw closer to Christ. He will never leave me lonely, and I can always turn to Him. Through Christ, I can be forgiven of wrong doings and still partake of the amazing blessings I have glimpsed and hope to receive in the future. I live righteously now so I can live forever.

How I live my faith

The main way I live my faith is by serving others. Whether it's working with and serving the ladies in my ward, baking goodies for ward activities, or supporting others around me, I feel that showing charity towards others is one of the best ways to live a Christ-like life. Keeping my life centered around Christ helps me get through each day and continue to progress to be more like Him.
