Hi I'm Kofi!

I love to play soccer. I love to smile and laugh. I'm Ghanaian-American. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Kofi! I grew up in Modesto, California. I am 18 years old and the oldest of three children. I love to play soccer as well as other sports. I will be attending Brigham Young University in 2017. I also enjoy long walks on the beach. And my favorite color is blue.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the Church when I was very young so I was pretty much raised Mormon. My parents moved to California from Ghana, West Africa and were very lonely. When missionaries contacted them and invited them to church they felt welcome and comfortable in their new environment. Its amazing how God knows what we need and when we need it. I had to learn for myself that this Gospel was true and I did through sincere prayer and he let me know. I am a Mormon because this Church has helped me personally so much as my family and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints displays the love that God has for all of us as his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to lead by example.I had the opportunity to play college soccer at several different schools in California. This made it really difficult for me to decide whether to serve a mission or not. After a lot of prayer and consideration I decided that I really had to prioritize my life. I began to see all the blessings I have received throughout my life by being a member of the Church. I decided to align my will with God's will because He really knows what is best for me. I am currently serving a mission in Alabama and I am the first missionary in my family. I try to live in such a way that I can make others happy which will ultimately make me happy as well. I know that by helping others we are only helping ourselves.
