Hi I'm Brandon B Chambers

I love to entertain people. Whether it be through writing, dance, song, karate, or film. I live in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write, and intend to become a bestselling author. I've been called to serve as a full-time missionary in the Washington Federal Way mission. I was the only male member on my High School Dance Company during my Senior Year of High School. I took several film classes and have a YouTube channel that I use for school and independent projects. http://www.youtube.com/user/24rejections I've tried stand-up comedy once, and loved it. I wrote a short play during my senior year of high school and loved that as well. I did karate for about eight years, and earned two black belts. I have ADD, and I believe that it is a tool that Heavenly Father has given me. Because of my wandering mind, I come across a bunch of ideas for books that I would otherwise never come across. I believe that trials are essential to who we are and who we will become. We cannot always choose our trials, but we can always choose how we react to them. :)

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both Mormons, and I just went with the flow for a large portion of my life. Because of my ADD, I barely even understood what was going on most of the time. At around the age of eleven, I finally started asking myself, "Why am I a member of this church? I certainly didn't ask for it; it just happened. Do I really believe in all of this?" I prayed to my Heavenly Father and felt spiritual confirmation that I was in the right place and following the right path. I have seen blessings in my life as I've been good, and have suffered the consequences when I have chosen wrong. I have seen powerful evidence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost in my life. I will always believe in them, and feel joy when I see others receive blessings from them.

How I live my faith

I have volunteered to serve a full-time mission for the Church for two years of my life. I am doing this because I have faith that it will help others and that I will receive blessings for trying my best to serve my fellow man. I know that I am not perfect, but I know that I can become BETTER. In order to prepare for a mission, my best friend and I have been studying the scriptures every morning for an hour. I try to be like Jesus, and I repent when I have done something wrong. I make an effort to love everybody, and pray to be more sympathetic and understanding of my fellow man. I'm not perfect, and neither is anybody else around me. I like to work with others and with Christ to become a better person, and make this life a little bit better. :)

What is faith?

Brandon B Chambers
Whenever I read the scriptures, I find this tip to be helpful. I always think of the word 'faith' as a verb. An action word. Faith is to believe in something, and to act on that belief. Show more Show less

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Brandon B Chambers
We begin by acknowledging that pornography is a serious problem that has the devastating potential to ruin families and destroy relationships. We must be loving and understanding when somebody we love falls into this bitter trap, but we must not tell them "It's okay." This is a lie. If you or somebody you know has problems with pornography, it must not be ignored or brushed away. It may bring temporary pleasure, but it will make the path to eternal joy immensely more difficult. If you have children, don't be afraid to tell them about the dangers of pornography at an early age. It is a harmful and addictive drug, and an invention of Satan. What is the best way to get pornography out of our lives? The answer is amazingly simple. We live in such a way that the dangerous substance is no longer welcome in our daily routine. As you read the scriptures, pray to your Heavenly Father for help, and keep His commandments, I promise you that you will find the temptation and appeal of pornography is greatly lessened, and your relationships and families will begin to come back to a state of healing and love. Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Brandon B Chambers
One of the most beautiful things about the church is that we believe that marriage can be eternal. Marriage is meant to be the most beautiful, loving, and most complete form of unity that we can achieve in this life. Through powerful and miraculous temple covenants and sealing ordinances, families in the church can be sealed together for all of eternity. We love and encourage everybody to become worthy temple-worthy members of the church so they can partake of these wonderful blessings. :) Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Brandon B Chambers
While we as Mormons recognize that Joseph Smith was a good and honorable man with great integrity, we do not worship him. We worship God the Eternal Father and His son, Jesus Christ. We believe that Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God and that he held the proper keys to restore the Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Brandon B Chambers
Actually, even after the death of Christ, new apostles were chosen to preach the word of God several times during the New Testament. After Judas betrayed Jesus, Matthias was called to fill in the vacancy in the Quorum of the Twelve apostles. Paul was also chosen as an apostle of the Lord after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Only due to the terrible conditions of the great apostasy was the Quorum of the Twelve apostles vacant from the earth for a short time. Show more Show less
