Hi I'm Lindsie

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors. I love sports. I love pizza. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Peru. I have been studying to be a Landscape Architect at a University. I love all sports! I have played soccer since I was 6 years old. I enjoy singing, dancing and writing music. I love boating, repelling, horseback riding, 4-wheeling and anything else outside. I love spending time with my family especially watching movies. I am so excited for the opportunity to dedicate all my time and effort to serving the Lord for 18 months!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in and grew up in the LDS church. In junior high, I decided that I was being tricked into believing something that wasn't true. I started separating myself from the church and its teachings. Most of my friend group was not Mormon and mocked many of the LDS standards. I began to be very bitter and judgmental. Their was a hole in my heart that just kept getting bigger and bigger. My family decided to move during the summer and I wanted to be happy again. I felt like this was the perfect way to start over and get a new friend group that wasn't going to make me feel like an idiot for believing in God. I asked friends of different faiths what made their church true. After a lot of studying and prayer I decided to read the Book of Mormon by myself and figure out if it was true and if that is how I was going to be happy. While reading it, the confirmation came to me that this gospel was and is the true gospel of Christ. I dropped all of my doubts and put my whole heart into living the gospel and keeping His commandments. I am a Mormon because I know that in the short time that I strayed from the truth I was the most miserable I have ever been. I am a Mormon because I know the blessing of the Spirit and the effect it has in my life. I don't know where I would be without my Savior and I never want to know. I love this Gospel. I love my Heavenly Father. I want to and will be with my family for all eternity. I want others to know of the Joy that this Gospel Brings. It has saved my life and I will always strive to come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve my mission for 18 months. I attend my church meetings weekly. I just finished my calling as an Old Testament Gospel Doctrines teacher. I search for any opportunity to serve others within my home and in my community.
