Hi I'm Daniel

I was born and raised in South Florida and I am serving my mission in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission from 2015-2017. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Within 2 years of my birth, both my siblings found a spouse and got married. I am the youngest of three but grew up an only child. I was a great soccer player as a child, and was offered to play for my cities travel team for 6 years in a row but always refused to commit. I didn't want to go to practice on Sundays so I never wanted to join the travel soccer team. Instead I played soccer for fun with friends and still developed my skills, while also focusing on academics throughout the week and the church on Sundays. I went inactive when I was a senior in high school and stopped going to church for a while but the biggest blessing the Lord gave me was when I was accepted into BYUH. I gained my own testimony of church attendance, sacrament meeting, and sincere repentance after a dark year of inactivity. Back to hobbies.. Ive always loved swimming and decided to join the swim team my senior year in high school and made varsity and went to regionals as the backstroker of the medley relay. Swimming, soccer, volleyball, and honestly Madden are my passions when I'm bored.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because not only was I born in the church, but over time I have truly come to know that this is where Heavenly Father wants us, to be in His kingdom, His Zion, so that way we can be prepared to come to know our Lord and Savior. I know that Heavenly Father listens to our prayers and answers our prayers. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to return to him by repentance and following his teachings. I know that no matter the hardship or mistake you're going through or you've done, Jesus Christ suffered for you so you can move on through faith in Him and repentance. I know that all these things are true, and I know that as I serve my mission I will grow and help others come unto Christ. The last thing I ever expected of myself growing up was to serve a mission, now I'm grateful for the decision I made. Heavenly Father has blessings waiting for you and me, follow His teachings and seek Him and you will find HimI say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by strengthening and magnifying my callings. I go to most of the church activities so I can be around other members as much as possible. Since back home in Florida strong active youth are hard to come by. I ended deciding to serve a mission and have now realized the importance of understanding and studying The Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ that has been Restored to us by Jesus Christ, our Savior, through Joseph Smith. I love my scriptures, even though I'm a late bloomer in getting my testimony of them, I try to read them and treat them like my trophy. The more I break it in by marking and highlighting the more valuable it is to me.
