Hi I'm Samantha

I'm curious and adventurous. I'm a dreamer and a doer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a second child of five. Sometimes my siblings drive me crazy but I'll always love them. I have the best mom and dad in the world. I love music whether it is playing, listening, or dancing. My nose will often be found buried in a good book, but I still love sports. I recently finished my first year of college studying Biology. I love learning and can't wait to get back to it, but for now I'm taking a break to do something much more important to me-a mission. Someday I hope to be a fantastic surgeon and join Doctors without Borders or Red Cross. I love to experience new things and places, and I love to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes sense to me. It's logical. Just like we know two plus two is four, I know the gospel is true. Christ is our savior and our redeemer. He is our living advocate with our father in heaven who loves us and is waiting for us to return home. The scriptures are true and we have prophets today who can guide us. I am a daughter of God and I can't imagine it being any different.

How I live my faith

I've been the president for the girls in all three age groups of our youth group. It's involved a lot of meetings and work, but the blessing have been far greater. I would work with three other girls and our adult leader to plan and carry out activities for the group. The activities ranged anywhere from spiritual nights of lessons and temple trips to fun days at the lake or games at our leader's house. We tried to include as many learning opportunities as possible such as cooking, sewing, art, and much more. I had the opportunity to serve and get to know many girls through these callings and made many friends. And the years of practice have given me attributes and insights that will hopefully allow me to continue to be a good leader. It has been a while now since I have had a calling, so for now I support those who do.
