Hi I'm Nephi

I'm from Cairns Australia, I'm a missionary, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm very artistic, I love the arts, but that doesn't mean I'm some pro. I love music, listening and playing, I play guitar and piano but cant read to save myself. I love dance, I dance culturally, hawaiian, cookisland, etc. and I draw, mainly portrait and just for leisure. But I love exercise and the outdoors. I love climbing mountains and swimming in rivers and waterfalls, and I love getting lost in the bush and just going wherever.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't really have a clear path before me, some of the people and examples I had around me were in gangs, heavy into drugs and that sort of scene and I thought thats what a man had to be, thats what the definition of a man was. Even being a teen, it was awkward, I didn't know how I was meant to be, behave, or act, and no matter what I did I was never what I wanted to be, or as happy as I wanted to be. But then I was introduced to the church, and I saw how I was supposed to be, and how I can be happy, and even what a man should be, educated, kind, loving and a loving father, and happy. I'm a mormon because it gives me guidance and makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I started going when I was around 14 and I loved everything, and I tried everything the church had to offer, even while a student in early morning seminary sometimes I'd even take the lessons and teach, and now I'm a missionary serving in New Zealand, the land of my heritage.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Just like in a court room they call on a witness to give a testimony, an account of what they saw and know is true, the same thing applies to a testimony of a gospel, its the knowledge of something that is true because of what they've witnessed. Show more Show less
