Hi I'm Kelsey Kah

I'm the oldest of 4 kids, an avid baker, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up all over because my dad was a flight doctor in the air force, and we finally settled down in Knoxville, Tn. We love the green mountains and the moderate weather. I am also a huge fiction fan. I love to read about everything from Batman to harry potter. I love music, particularly guitar and piano. My mom and grandma were both music majors, so music is an important part of our family time. Most of all I love to cook. There is something special about creating something new and bringing the family together around one table.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Jesus Christ and because I love him and want to be more like him, I choose to be part of the church that I felt would teach me how to be more like him. As I have read the book of mormon, I have felt christ's love and his desire for me to read more, and come to him. He has put me in a blessed situation, physically, emotionally, and financially. I obey his commandments and his counsel because I love him and I wan to show his I am grateful for all he has given me. This church has brought me closer to Christ and my family than any other could. With continual revelation given to the presidents of the church, I know that I am given timely counsel and advise for right now. The scriptures are an important part of our faith, and we are encouraged to read often and think about how they apply to my life as it stands now. I am Mormon because I want to follow Christ and be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live simply. I am always found in moderate dress with a simple hairstyle, but a big smile. I want others to know that I genuinely care about their day and their life. Our faith is about showing love to all, and trying to live with a smile even when its hard. I love to get out in our community and volunteer with other churches. When we combine, we can do amazing things. Last year we feed over 5,000 families and gave all the children christmas presents as well. I love feeling apart of something bigger.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Kelsey Kah
We consider tithing to be the Lords money. He has given us 90 percent, and all he asks of us is 10 percent. He then uses this money to pay for the welfare program- providing relief to those in natural disasters, financial ruin, and those who suffer all manner of temporal problems. It is also used to construct church buildings and temples so that we, as members, have a place to meet, worship, and strengthen each other. Show more Show less
