Hi I'm Hans

I am a husband, father, grandfather, I love old cars, and yes, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love tinkering on anything that has an engine. I especially love the challenge of taking something that doesnt work or run and bringing it back to life. I have an awesome wife who puts up with all of this. I also have four great kids who have all married equally great spouses . I currently have ten and a half grandkids ! I love them all ! I love being outdoors. I love most sports, but especially those that involve water.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I were both raised in the mormon church. Our parents were very active members. When we got married, I convinced her that church wasnt all that important. We drifted away and stayed away for many years. As our children got a little older they would attend church with their friends. Soon my wife had two very loving visiting teachers ( women who came to visit her and share a gospel message ). It didnt take her long to realize what she had been missing and she returned to church with the kids. After a couple of years of the kids involving me in their activities and some rather incredibly humbling experiences, I began to recognize the hand of the Lord in my life. I started to pray again and asked the Lord to forgive me and help me to come back. I was amazed at the feelings of love that I felt. I started to study the scriptures and again felt the incredible love and mercy of our Savior Jesus Christ. I returned to church with my family and have never looked back. We have since been able to be sealed together in the Temple as an eternal family. Thats a whole other story ! I love my Father in Heaven. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am eternally indebted to my Savior and all those who have loved our little family back into arms of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in a leadership position in one of the best wards and neighborhoods around. I have the opportunity to work with the young men and young women in our ward. They always amaze me ! They are so smart and so willing to help out with whatever they are asked to do. They enjoy working together whether its our annual neighborhood clean up, serving at a dinner or Christmas caroling to the elderly. I have grown to love all of those that I serve with or have the opportunity to serve. I am grateful for my Savior and the trust he has placed in me in allowing me to help, in a small way, with his work here upon this earth.
