Hi I'm Cameron

I was born in Idaho. I've lived in Utah for most of my life. I just graduated from high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing tennis with family and friends and I played on the high school team. I love to go skiing in the winter, I like the excitement that comes from the sport. I love skiing in the backcountry through trees and fields of powder. I occasionally play golf for fun but I'm not very good at it, I mostly just try to see how far I can hit the ball. About a year ago I started talking singing lessons. While in high school, I had the opportunity to serve on student body presidency and to work with great people. I recently graduated from high school and I will be attending college in two years. I am currently serving a mission and i will be flying to Germany soon to share the Gospel there.

Why I am a Mormon

If you would have asked when I was born, "Why are you a Mormon?" the answer simply would've been because I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As I grew older I attended Church and followed the teachings my parents taught me through their counsel and example. There came a point in my life when I had to find out for myself if I truly believed that the Church of Jesus Christ was true. I had read the Book of Mormon multiple times and it was so easy for me just to go through the motions for most of my life without questioning if I was doing the right thing. But not very long ago my testimony changed for the good. I started to put my heart into studying the scriptures and learning and living the words of Christ. I started trying to gain a stronger testimony and to come closer to Christ. Suddenly the Gospel came alive to me. I felt such great joy from the Gospel that filled my soul. No other source seemed to bring me lasting happiness like the Gospel did. I still experience trials and sadness because thats a part of life, but strength from Christ helps me overcome my pains. Through Christ's Atonement and Repentance I was forgiven of my sins and able to feel peace. I know that God answers prayers and that he is actively involved in our lives. I know this because he has answered many of my prayers and I have been blessed to recognize his involvement in my life. I know that he loves you and I, and he constantly seeks to guide us. If we will just open our lives to him, he can make more of us then we will ever make of ourselves. I know that keeping his commandments brings me great joy and blessings. I strongly believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is God's church on the earth today and I know that as I continue following Christ I will grow in my testimony.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This means I'm leaving my family for two years to share what I cherish and hold to be true with the rest of the world. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ. I'm trying to learn the German language so I can better communicate with the people of Germany. My calling is to serve others, and I will do that to the best of my abilities.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Cameron
The Lord has called us to go share his gospel with all the world. This is a call I gladly heeded. The Church has brought me so much joy, such joy that I was desirous that others could feel the same way. Sure there's billions of happy people all over the world, but I want to serve them, so they can be even more happy. Us Mormons are not free from trials and pain, nobody is. When you have faith in Christ and you trust in him, it becomes much easier to get through life. Every day you can still have hope no matter what you're going through. That's why us missionaries proselyte. It's to bring others unto Christ, so they can feel the joy that we've felt. Show more Show less
