Hi I'm Andrew

Animation and football are life. And I love being a Mormon!

About Me

The first thing about me, I love art and animation! I have always enjoyed it since I was a wee lad, and Yes that means I love anything Disney and I could certainly put up a good fight against anyone in a Disney trivia contest. Currently I plan to enter a four year university within a few years with the purpose of becoming an animator. I also love music, I've played piano for years and still wish I was better, but apart from all that stuff Football is my second love. I played through all four years of High School and still dream about playing the game every day! The feeling the rush! Its a feeling only few can understand, and I miss it everyday. I continued my sporting career in high school by also wrestling for three years and throwing shot put and discus for two years. Lets just say I love sports! Pretty much you can find me doing pretty much anything. I love making friends and good memories. I've lived in California the jist of my life and I definitely love the beach (however, between me and you, I would rather deal with freezing temperatures than the heat here). I am currently serving a mission for two years in the Japan Fukuoka mission, where I am excited to serve the people and understand the culture! It is the experience of a life-time!

Why I am a Mormon

First of all I do not believe in the church simply because I was born into a family that were Mormons. At a young age I was taught many of its principles and guided by many outstanding church leaders and parents, but I was never once was brain washed into becoming a Mormon. As an early teen I started to doubt and question many of the things I was learning and doing. I wondered what was really good, what was really bad? Is there a God? Am I more than just one person on this Earth? And I can say now, without a shadow of a doubt, that there is a God and he is our Heavenly Father who loves us and guides us. And we are not one small person on this Earth but we are sons and daughters of God, who are destined for eternal and immeasurable blessings. I have prayed and asked God to know the things of my heart, to know if the church is true, if the Book of Mormon is true, and to know if our church leaders are true men of God. I stand before you this day to tell you I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It is not a lie! I know the Book of Mormon is the truest book on the Earth today, and was written for our day. It is the words of God. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and saw Heavebly Father and his son Jesus Christ face to face. I know that we have a true prophet on the Earth today. His name is Thomas S. Monson and he still speaks with our Heavenly Father. I know that I am a literal Son of God, and that one day I can return to live with him again. Life is hard but Jesus Christ has offered a way for us to grow and repent, this is called the Atonement. It has blessed my life in way unimaginable and without it I would not be who I am today. I love this church and all it has to offer. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have had the great blessing of being born into the church, and so I have been surrounded by the church and its programs my entire life. Through out high school and my entire life I have lived as an example of the church and stood up for my standards and beliefs. I became a leader in many of my extra-curricular activities and was even given the name "Stormin' Mormon" on the football team. My team new where I stood and they respected that. I was a missionary to my friends and explained and answered any questions they had. I was recently a leader for a group of sixteen year old boys in the LDS church I attend. Throughout my life I have also been a leader for a group of twelve and fourteen year olds as well. In all of these experiences I strove to lead a group of boys who would serve, care for, and teach not only themselves but their community, family and friends as well. I have had the great opportunity to participate in a committee where we organized a weekend long event for a few hundred youth that taught church standards and emphasized the making of friendships. Currently I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Where I am giving the next two years of my life to serve and teach the people of Japan. I am serving in Fukuoka Japan. Where I am excited to experience the culture and learn all I have to learn about my savior Jesus Christ and all he has to offer me.
