Hi I'm Mason

I grew up in Utah and Arizona, I've been called to serve a mission in Chile, and I'm a didly wak mac mormon daddy.

About Me

I graduated High School. I like sports. I played lacrosse in the first lacrosse team in southern Utah. I love to make ceramics and wish I could do it more. I like to spend time with family and cousins at family reunions and with friends when i'm not there. I love to read and my favorite author is Brandon Sanderson. I'm soon going to be able to share the gospel in Chile on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life. Many people that I've grown up with are mormon just because it is expected of them by there parents and is more of a cultural affiliation than personally meaningful. I chose to be a member of the church not because of any pressure from those around me, although many friends have helped me move in the right direction, but because I know that this is the true church of Christ here on the earth. I don't know if I've ever truly doubted in the church, but I do know that slowly, as I've lived my life, I've gained a testimony that the things taught in the church are true through prayer, scripture study, the testimonies of others, and most of all the witness of the holy ghost telling me the truth of the things I read and hear by the burning feeling in my chest of thoughts and impressions i've received. I know that I've been so blessed to be born in raised in this church, its nothing but good. I might not know all the answers but I'm learning to becoming what my father in haven would want me to be, which is more like my savior. I believe that God and Jesus Christ came to Joseph Smith. I believe that he translated the Book of Mormon from the golden plates he was given. I believe that he and the brethren that followed after him were prophets and that they have led and are leading us in the way Christ himself would be leading his church today. I know that miracles do happen and I know the power of the atonement is real and ready for us to use. I've felt the power and love of god through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that he loves me, because I have felt that live. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to sunday meetings, family home evenings, and other events in my Young Single Adults Branch or the YSA Branch. This is where people from about the age of 18 to 30 go to church. Many are people who are going to school and are away from family. The branch becomes a second family to many of the ward members. I defiantly love my brothers and sisters there, even though i'm still living at home. I also love to read my scripture, pray, and serve those around me. I'm defiantly not perfect at this, probably the opposite of it many times but I know I just need to try my best, and keep working at it and I'll be blessed.
