Hi I'm Adam Fletcher

I am from Anchorage, Alaska. I love to run and cross country ski. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy running and cross country skiing. I participated in both of these sports while in high school. I am an Eagle Scout and a huge Star Wars fan. I moved to Washington from Anchorage, Alaska shortly before my senior year of high school. I am now serving a 2-year mission in Samara, Russia. Following my mission I am going to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I plan on studying Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one church that teaches all of God's truths and is organized and administered under His direction. I have prayed and studied concerning this topic and I have received a witness from the spirit that this is God's gospel and it operates using His authority. I am a Mormon because I know of the peace, love, and happiness that can be found when we unite ourselves with God and Christ and live according to their commandments. I know that living according to the principles of the gospel allows us to be blessed and strengthened by the Lord. I know that the level of happiness and fulfillment of purpose that I feel in my life can only be found through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith at this time in my life by serving a mission. I am now at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo, Utah. I am learning Russian and constantly striving to come closer to Christ. Here at the MTC we spend sometimes 9 hours a day in classroom settings where we learn Russian and practice teaching gospel lessons in Russian. There is a very regimented schedule at the MTC but through it we are able to get so many things done and make good use of our time. I live my faith by always doing my best to be obedient to this schedule and always looking for opportunities to serve the missionaries around me.
