Hi I'm Heather

I am a wife, mother, and grad student. I love learning and creating. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of three daughters. I am a graduate student in psychology, studying to become a school counselor. One thing that helps me feel fulfilled is being able to do things myself, so I like researching and learning and trying new things. I enjoy gardening and working in my yard; I love to see everything grow and flourish. Creating beautiful and useful things brings me a lot of joy. When I am not busy with my family or school, I like sewing, cooking, or reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I continue living the faith I was raised in because I believe it helps us know God's plan for His children. Through experience, I have come to see that I am happier when I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Families play a large part in God's plan, and I am so blessed to have a family whom I love and cherish. Together we are learning how to navigate this mortal experience, and it is so helpful to know that God has given us guidelines and commandments to help us. I have faith that God's plan can allow us to continue on as a family after this life. I am far from perfect, but I have an eternal perspective that allows me to know that this life is for learning and growing, and mistakes can be forgiven through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in the children's organization of my congregation for the kids aged 3 to 12. Working with these children helps me realize how much our Heavenly Father loves each one of us. He has a plan for us, and when I teach them about this plan and hear them sing the Primary songs I can feel a portion of God's desire for them to grow and be happy through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
