Hi I'm Morgan

I grew up in Oregon. I play the Bagpipes. I am going on a mission to Norway. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played the bagpipes in a bagpipe band. I am not a part of the Sir James MacDonald Bagpipe Band anymore but I still play the bagpipes. I recently got my mission call to serve in the Oslo, Norway mission. I love video games, music, singing, taking pictures, making videos and being a friend to others. I am in the MTC right now as of a few weeks ago. I am heading out to Norway soon and I want to do my best.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the church for my entire life. It just kind of was a natural way of life for me. It was like I followed a train my entire life, and I realized one day that if I was going to go on a mission, that I needed to truly believe in the Gospel and the things I would be teaching as a missionary. I believed in the Gospel my entire life, but I don't think I really actually knew in my heart for sure, and I wanted to know. I don't know of a specific time that I just had an explosion of confirmation that the church was true. It was just the small things that I kept learning from reading scriptures, praying to Heavenly Father, and singing church music. I know that when I am having a rough spot in life, or when I need comfort, I find it in all those three things. I have gained an amazing relationship with my Father in heaven through pray, and I know that the Savior, Jesus Christ, is real. He really did die for our sins, and I read about it in the scriptures. I know he saved us all if we just come unto him and live the way he lived. I have felt the comfort of the Holy Ghost through music and the confirmation of many things that are true. I know that we have a loving Father in heaven who is always there for us. Wherever you are, you can always pray to Him, and he will answer your prays. I believe in Jesus Christ, and I know that lives and that through the price he paid in death for me, I will be able to live with Him, Heavenly Father, and my family forever. I love this Gospel and when I opened my mission call to Norway and read it out loud, I had the overwhelming feeling come over me that that was where I needed to be, and I will serve the best I can. I have felt the love of God, and I want to share that love with others.

How I live my faith

I go with missionaries to a class called Gospel Principles and I help others with coming unto Christ. I also do something called hometeaching with my dad where we go to members' houses and teach them about different gospel topics. We check in on them to make sure they are doing well and we ask if we can give any service to them. I am in the MTC right now as of a few weeks ago. I am heading out to Norway soon and I want to do my best. I have learned that trusting in the Lord is very important to the work and I have to strive to have the Holy Ghost with me. I am learning I am nothing. I am not perfect and I need the Lord's help. With Him, I know I can do all things.
