Hi I'm Suzie Pilkington

I grew up in American Fork Utah . I love traveling and meeting new people. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up being very involved with theater and drama. I love to perform. I have a small family, my parents and twin brother. We travel the country often. I've also traveled to London, England recently for a study abroad and plan on participating in more through out my schooling. I was a student at Southern Utah University for my first year of college. When I get back from my mission I plan on studying Anthropology and History at the University of Utah. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the California, San Diego mission. I am very excited to share the Gospel with others. I love to meet new people and learn about their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My mother was also born and raised in the church. My father's family was converted to the church when he was a young boy. I have been taught the Gospel my whole life. I've also grown up in a community where the church is dominant. I've grown up surrounded by members, constantly hearing various testimonies and learning the stories of the scriptures and dissecting them. With the community I've grown up in, it's made it very easy to be a member of the church, because most everyone in my community and kids in my school are. When I moved away from home to college, I realized that everyone is a convert to the church. Even though I have been surrounded by, and lived the Gospel my whole live, I had not truly gained an unwavering testimony until then, when few around me were strong members of the church. I gained by true testimony when I realized the genuine love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus have for us. Heavenly Father is very aware of us and takes our wants and needs into account, even with the smallest of things. No ones life is easy. Some have it much harder than others but Heavenly Father blesses us daily with tender mercies if we can recognize them. There were days that I had recently prayed to Heavenly Father telling him my situation

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer for things like being a mentor for kids at elementary schools. I think volunteering for things like this is a great way to be more like Christ and feel his love for others and ourselves. Being a genuine friend to others is another way I live my faith. Being a friend to someone, caring about them, helping them through a tough time or just having a good time together, I feel, can help them feel the love of Christ. I try to see everyone as a child of God. It makes me much happier and I get to gain a fonder relationship with that person. Especially with those whom I visit teach. I try to become friends with these ladies before anything else. I invite them to upcoming activities I have planned with my other friends. I will share my testimony at appropriate times with my friends or we'll have discussions about things that are centered around the Gospel. Being a true friend or just loving someone for who they are is such an uplifting and beneficial way to live my faith.
