Hi I'm Mike

I'm a skier. I love architecture. I live and go to school on the North Shore of Hawaii. I love to smile and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at BYU Hawaii studying accounting. I grew up in Utah and since I was young learned to love skiing. I enjoy smiling and being around positive outgoing people. Sports and laughing is my thing.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many I was born into a family where my parents have been long time members of the LDS church and even several generations before them as well. The reason I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is because of the testimony I have of its truthfulness that Christ lived and died that we might live with God again. I don't think there is one moment or event that I can say has allowed me to gain this testimony but it has been a life long process. Like everyone I make mistakes and feel sadness and pain as a direct result of those mistakes. However as I work to change my life and repent I am able to feel a sense of peace, happiness and forgiveness. It gives me hope to know that God doesn't judge me upon a sum of all things I've done right or wrong in my life but rather what I've become and who I'm becoming. I know God loves us despite our foolish mistakes. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me become the best me and brings me joy as I am able to learn of Gods plan for me and my family. I am a member of Christs church cause it's the only way I know to be truly happy.

How I live my faith

Between Utah and Hawaii I enjoy being involved in different activities in the community from church activities to school and local events. I find a lasting happiness in seeing others happy and learning from those around me. Serving as a teacher and in other callings in the church has allowed me to feel this joy on a regular basis as I see my efforts benefit the lives of those who surround me. My current calling in in the church allows me to work with many great individuals as a secretary and opportunities to teach and bare testimony of what I have found to be true. In my different assognments I also have the opportunity to share my testimony and hear those of others. It's also a wonderful thing to be associated with people that are willing to listen to what you have to say and respect your contributions in classes or meetings.
