Hi I'm Seth

I've lived in Utah all my life. I played high school baseball. I love going on adventures and making people laugh. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I was born into the church. I love baseball and played in little league and high school. I recently took up golf and I really like it. I love most sports. I love huntin' and fishin'! I have shot 3 elk, two cows and a bull, and I have also shot 1 buck. I love country music. I love making new friends. I carry a pack of gum in my back pocket just to give to people around me. It is a good ice breaker! I am an Eagle Scout. My baseball career was ruined after I ruptured a ligament in my ankle. That led me to wanting to serve a mission. I'm going to a mission to Ecuador. I can't wait to serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I made some mistakes because of bad friends who compromised my standards, but realized that wasn't the road that I wanted to travel. So I got new friends. I started praying again and reading my scriptures. My testimony grew. After I made these changes, my life came back. I was happy again. I learned to love myself again. Never again will I let myself lose sight of the Lord again. I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and only fully restored gospel. Jesus atoned for our sins. Because of this, we can be forgiven when we make mistakes. This leads us to being able to live with our Heavenly Father again. This is so important to me because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus. They never give up on me. Jesus promises us that He won't forsake us. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's gospel. All of the keys are now back on Earth forever. I know that Jesus and Heavenly Father love me and all of us. I know that the Holy Ghost is real. The Holy Ghost helps teach me, prompt me, and warn me. I know without a doubt that we live in a special time. The prophets and scriptures have called these the last days. We must hasten the work and bring God's children unto him. We are all God's children. We were sent to Earth to learn and become like him. I know that through Christ, all things are possible. He is my Savior. He did what no mortal man could do. I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Before I became an Elder, I was the first assistant to the Bishop. In this calling, I watched over many of the young men in my ward. In particular, I watched over the Priests. I helped bring back young men who were beginning to fall away from the church. I even helped plan activities such as hikes, game nights, and different sporting activities to bring members and non-members together for some fun. Now that I am an Elder, I no longer am a first assistant. Although, I am still a home teacher. My partner is my dad. We have a lot of families we teach. Many are non-members or inactives. My dad and I just try to be friendly. We offer help in their yards. My dad is a handyman so he can fix anything. When there is a flood or other kinds of damages to a home or property, my dad and I are some of the first there to help. Sometimes the best way to share the gospel is just by being an example and a friend. Now that I am about to leave on a mission, I will have the opportunities to preach the gospel to others. I get to help others find their way to our Heavenly Father. I will help lead them to the opportunity to be together with their families forever.
