Hi I'm Emily Ann Nyre

Hello! I'm a New Yorker, Musician, Traveler, Returned Missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello, Hello! A little about me... I was born in Montour Falls New York, and I am a returned missionary who served in the Chesapeake Virginia mission. I had the amazing opportunity to learn Spanish on my mission and serve the Hispanics living there. It was absolutely amazing! I am currently a student at BYU Idaho, majoring in Design and Construction management. I am second of six children, and I have two loving parents who I strive to be like. I love singing, dancing, music, performance, theatre, anything with a stage and me on it! I love to build things and design apparatus to improve my living. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, and I have been to both the east coast, the west coast, all the way in between, and to Beijing China! All of my experiences have been amazing and I want to travel around the world during my entire life. I want to be a person who makes a difference in the world and who leave a giant footprint behind. I am a Mormon, and I am proud to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find The Church of Jesus Christ to be the true church that was restored by Joseph Smith. I have grown up in the church, but I have developed my own testimony and belief in Christ. This church is true. I know that being part of this church has blessed my life in so many ways. I know my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ love me for me, and know me personally. I understand that only through the true gospel can my family and I become eternally sealed together and live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that my Savior gave his life for me, and suffered all of the pain that I have gone through, and will go through in my lifetime. I know the atonement is an active blessing in my life, and in the lives of those around me. I know that all of the pain that this mortal life brings can be taken away by His atoning sacrifice. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have on this earth, and for that knowledge that I am able to share with others.

How I live my faith

I try to share my beliefs with my community by participating in musical groups to share my love of music and bring the feeling of happiness to those who watch my performing. In my ward I was called as the ward chorister and I found that calling very fulfilling in relation to how I got to interact with the rest of the ward through music. While serving on a mission in Chesapeake Virginia, I got to enjoy spreading the gospel by teaching others about the true church. I continue to be an example to others, and I hope to be good at fulfilling responsibilities as I grow throughout my life.
