Hi I'm Jennesa

I love picking up coins off the ground. I'm preparing to serve a mission in Trujillo, Peru. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of seven siblings and there is never a dull moment in our home. :) I just graduated from high school this past May and I have been called to serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Trujillo, Peru Mission. I am to report on October 7th! :) I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I plan to attend BYU-Provo when I get home from my mission. I absolutely love to read. I enjoy running (I did Cross Country and Track in high school.) I played the violin (I need to keep it up) and I play the piano. I love finding coins on the ground and collecting them in a jar under my bed. I enjoy going on Humanitarian trips...my family and I went to Mexico last Christmas and my brother and I went to Peru this summer! I love hanging out with my family and friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. As a child I grew up singing primary songs and having my parents read or tell me stories from the Book of Mormon. My conversion was more of a sunrise than a light bulb experience. As I developed good habits of daily scripture study and daily personal prayer I was able to feel a difference in my life. I found that I was happier and I began to see the hand of the Lord in my life more often than not! :) From the many experiences I have gone through in my life I have been amazed at the plan the Lord has for me. I have learned for myself that this is Christ's true church. I have learned that in this life there is no such thing as coincidence's. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is a book compiled with many stories from real people in ancient times. We are able to learn from their accomplishments and mistakes. I know that Heavenly Father is my Father and that He hears and answers my prayers. What a blessing the many temples are to my family and me! The sealing power that binds families is real. I love my elder brother, Jesus Christ. I know that I can live with him and my Heavenly Father again if I keep the commandments they have given and trust in them! I love this church and I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! :)

How I live my faith

As I mentioned above, I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in Trujillo, Peru come October. I will be able to learn the Spanish language in the Lima, Peru Missionary Training Center. I will spend the first six weeks of my mission there. Then I will go to Trujillo, Peru and really begin teaching those who are interested in hearing about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Throughout my entire mission I will have a companion and we will be able to follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost as we try to teach those we meet about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
