Hi I'm Alison

I'm from Utah. I'm a student, descendant of pioneers & musicians, and am now serving a mission in Mesa, Arizona. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and spending time with my family. I'm studying chemistry and statistics in college. I also love music and performing, especially musical theatre. Many of my ancestors were also involved in music. My family includes band teacher, silent movie piano player, big band members, and a composer who is in the LDS hymn book. My family also includes pioneers who have traveled from England, Denmark, and other countries to be with the Saints in Utah. I hope to live up to the sacrifices they have made. I'm so excited to share my testimony with the people of Mesa!

Why I am a Mormon

Living in an LDS family, I have always been taught that my Heavenly Father knows me and has a plan for me personally. It wasn't until I was older that I realized how special this knowledge was. I have gained a testimony of the gospel with my head and with my heart. I know it is true intellectually because the doctrines of the Restoration and Plan of Salvation make sense. I know it is true spiritually because I have felt Heavenly Father's love for me when I needed it most. I know that His commandments are a manifestation of that love and will direct us to live a happier and more fulfilling life. Serving a mission is one way for me to show my love for Him.

How I live my faith

As a young woman, I had several leadership opportunities, including helping to organize a summer camp and preparing devotionals. As a missionary, I will spend 18 months serving and teaching the gospel.
