Hi I'm Spencer

I grew up in Millcreek, UT. I was called to serve in the Guatemala, Guatemala City East Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah called Millcreek. I was raised in a family of five children, all boys, and of which I am the last of to serve a mission. I've just barely graduated from Olympus High School and am about to serve a mission in the Guatemala, Guatemala City East Mission. I'm an awarded theater/film actor and singer. I've been raised in the Gospel my entire life. I'll be attending the University of Utah in the fall of 2016 doing a major in musical theater as well as Pre-Med.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for the spirit this faith provides me with. I am absolutely sure that there is no other church on the earth that possesses more truth. I know this in a spiritual and a logical sense. They say there is a difference between being a member and being fully converted. I can say now that as I have gone through hard-ships and have had moments where I have had to teach myself the truth through loneliness, that I have become a fully-converted member to the teachings of Jesus Christ as well as the message provided in the Book of Mormon. We are his brothers and sisters, he is our master, and he will not lead us astray.

How I live my faith

I'm very active in serving the people of my faith. I'm an active youth and have been my entire life. I attend mutual acivities regularly as well as participate in most ward sponsored activities. I serve as a home-teacher, as well as do shut-in sacrament service for incapable patrons of our ward, and other service projects. I try and reach out to my fellow men as much as I can through love. Love is something that I now know is the binding principal to all things good in the Universe, especially the gospel. The gospel teaches us to reach out to our fellow men without regard for personal ego and bring them closer to our savior Jesus Christ through personal connection and fellowship, and this is something I think about every day. I strive to maintain a spirit that allows me to feel my savior's love as well by nourishing it; not just though prayer and scripture study but by also diligently seeking for truth, as well as performing activities that are uplifting for it, such as hiking, or listening to good music.
