Hi I'm Brielle

I love to sing. I'm only 4' 10" tall. I love glitter, striped sweaters, and good food (especially pizza). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey there! I'm Brielle, and I'm loving being a recent high-school graduate! I am the oldest of five children. I was born and raised in good old Utah. I love seeing the mountains out my window every day. I love nature, and love to hike and bike. Since I was never good at sports, performing arts are my thing! I love musical theatre. There's something about being up on stage with the lights and the music that gives me such an ecstatic energy! I love performing in choirs and bringing joy to others through music. I love to play the piano; it's my stress-reliever. I plan on serving an LDS mission and afterward continuing my education at Brigham Young University. I love to eat and I love life- I'm excited to see what the future holds! Life is a grand adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I love going to church each Sunday and hearing the teachings of Jesus Christ from the scriptures and from the mouths of our modern-day prophets. I love the peace that comes from learning of our Savior, and learning that he has a plan for us. Knowing of this plan, that we can be with our families forever, even after death, helps me get through each day. The strength I feel from reading the Book of Mormon is the most wonderful thing I could ever ask for. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that we can become closer to God by following the teachings contained inside. It makes me so happy! And this happiness is a lasting joy. Being with other members who share my beliefs and share with me what they know to be true lifts me up as well. I love the knowledge that comes with being a member of this church. The knowledge that death isn't the end, the knowledge that God still speaks to man today, the resources we have, like the Book of Mormon, that tell us what we should be doing. There is a happiness that, throughout all my life, I have never been able to obtain anywhere else than with this church. I wouldn't trade being a Mormon for anything!

How I live my faith

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. Every day I strive to become more like him. He is the master of all service! I contribute to church meetings by playing the organ. I was called to be the organist when I was 17 years old, and I've been playing almost every Sunday since. The wonderful spirit brought in by those hymns is powerful, and is worth every moment of practicing done the week in advance. It was challenging at first; I learned quickly that there is an entirely new technique that needs to be used when playing the organ. I used to get nervous when I would hear the congregation singing and fear that I wouldn't be able to keep up. But through repetition and a LOT of prayer, I've overcome my nervousness and can play with confidence. Serving through music is my favorite way to serve! I love listening to the lyrics of the hymns. I have been able to feel my Heavenly Father's love the most through music, and I am happy that I can assist in helping others feel it too.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not all Mormons are required to serve missions. Missions are a voluntary service. They require great sacrifice on the part of the missionary, but it is worth it! Bringing souls unto Christ is the greatest reward anyone could ask for! Deciding to serve a mission takes a lot of prayer and pondering. I prayed to know if serving a mission was right for me, and I got my answer: it was yes! Show more Show less
