Hi I'm Nathaniel Breedlove

I live in Hawaii, I'm a small business owner, Art is my passion and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a very active Latter-Day Saint family. I'm talking the front row every Sunday with all 11 kids and usually a friend to accompany us. I feel as if God gave my family an unfair advantage over the rest of the world, my last name, Breeldlove. Breedlove is more like the creed my family lives by rather than just a last name. I remember my first Sunday on my mission in Moscow, Russia in a small rented out meeting house with probably 30 members in it, thinking, "if they could just see my family". There is just something different about a family that really loves the gospel! Everyone sees it, everyone notices the difference and they all want to know the secret. That was the family I grew up with. I have loved to draw ever since I can remember. I'm not sure that I understand now the full purpose of me being able to draw, but I have decided that I should pursue it with faith that God will lead me as I look for ways to develop it more. For now I mostly draw Disney Princesses for my nieces which I have taken the liberty of making my own twist on.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of prayer. More specifically one prayer that I offered when I was younger and because God answered that prayer. It is my understanding that God works by laws and when we obey his laws we get blessings, when we disobey his laws we get punishments. We don't always notice the blessings or the punishments as a result to our actions, but this doesn't change the order of things. Reading the Book of Mormon played a rather large role in my conversion process. It wasn't until I started reading the Book of Mormon every day with the desire and courage to really ponder and relate to my life the things that I was reading about that I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings at the sunset beach YSA(young single adult) branch on the north shore of Oahu. Our branch is the best. No, joke we have more fun than anyone in the world, after fast and testimony meetings I almost always challenge any other branch/ward to be as spiritual as mine. There is by no means any sort of competition, we all are just so excited about our branch here. Its part of our family and we look after its growth. Fast and testimony meeting is when anyone in the branch can get up and share a testimony or in other words share how they came to know that the teachings of the church My calling or assignment in the branch I attend is the Branch Mission Leader. Which means that I get to work closely with the full time missionaries in the area, which is a great passion of mine. Mostly I coordinate a joint missionary effort with the full-time missionaries and the members. Its one of my responsibilities to make sure everyone that has a desire to learn about the church gets an opportunity.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Nathaniel Breedlove
To understand the answer to this question or really the Holy Ghost in general you would first have to understand that God does answer prayers. Personal revelation is real and essential to salvation. We all are on this Earth to make choices, as we seek for truth and understanding Heavenly Father will reveal the truth to us through the Holy Ghost as we pray and seek his guidance. His role is to testify of truth. There is comfort in the gospel and peace as we follow the guidance we receive through this holy gift. Show more Show less
