Hi I'm Soni

I grew up in West Valley City, Utah. I am a Tongan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. I used to play sports, but had to stop due to certain health conditions. I may begin playing sports again when I return from my mission. I have been called to serve in the beautiful Kingdom of Tonga. I plan on attending Utah State University when i return from serving an honorable two-year mission. Church, family, and school is what is the most important to me and in that order. Everything else comes after those three.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in this gospel, so the question that is always in the back of my mind is "Am I only apart of this church to please my parents?" The answer I have come up with is, no. This gospel has brought so much happiness to my life and that is why I decided to serve a mission. I want to share that happiness with others.

How I live my faith

Many of my family members and friends consider me a leader among them and those I come in contact with. I have never really thought that I was a leader, but many have told me it is through my example that I am a leader. I am glad that I was raised in this gospel that teaches the importance of family, education, and service. I hope that my friends and my family can follow my example in going to college and becoming close with family. I love serving others. Through the scouting program, I was able to perform a lot of service for the poor by collecting food for the food bank and collecting items for homeless shelters like: clothes, toilet paper, baby diaper, etc. I just hope that all those who follow me, know that I am just trying to follow in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
