Hi I'm Brittney

I was born and raised in Oregon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a small town on the coast of Oregon. After graduation, I worked a summer in the local movie theatre, one of my favorite jobs! Then headed off to Brigham Young University Idaho for Fall and Winter semesters. Next I spontaneously flew off to Alaska, where I worked at a front desk clerk next to the beautiful Denali National Park. Currently serving as a missionary in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. I love to learn new things! The world has really opened up to me since I left my little beach town!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a LDS family. However, when I was eight years old I chose to be baptized and be a member of the Lord's church. This was the best decision I ever made. The blessings are innumerable. I love my Savior and all the things he has done for me. He loves me and has protected me through many times of trouble. The gospel is the gospel of love of eternal joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

Being a missionary takes A LOT of faith! I wear the name of Christ on my heart, literally. I am His representative and I spend all the time I can teaching others about HIs gospel.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Members are not required to serve a mission. However, many do. Its a real privilege to share this message of great joy and happiness. Missionaries are normally 18-19 years when they begin their mission. Some like missionary work so much they return again and again to serve later in life. Missionaries aren't paid, we want to serve. We want to show our love for fellow man and the Lord. We don't choose but are called to a particular area. Its an honor to be an official representative of the church. Show more Show less
