Hi I'm Russell

I love to cycle. I play the bassoon. I'm a music and science geek. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I live with my mother and my younger brothers who are twins. I also have 3 older sisters. One of the things that I enjoy doing is going on bike rides. I feel like it is the best way to see and hear the world around us. In high school I was a part of FRIST Robotics which the one of the coolest programs to be apart of. I will be serving a full time mission in the Fall of 2014. After my mission I plan to go to BYU to study chemical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church so much. I have been a member for all my life. I have had a very good mother who has taught me how important it is to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. For me life can be hard some times. When I follow the gospel and repent life just seems to be a little brighter. The challenges that we all have are there for us to over come so we can grow spiritually. The worst of days make the best of days greater. All the things the church teaches are for our benefit.

How I live my faith

One of the great things about the church is that they give you a responsibility. These are called well callings. They are great because callings can teach you as a person so much how to come closer to Christ. I have had a few callings of my own. I was given the chance to lead some of the youth that were my age. It was kind of like a patrol leader in boy scouts. The difference is that patrol leader helps fellow scouts get a higher rank where my responsibility was to help the youth my age grow stronger spiritually. It was awesome to have this responsibility because it helped me grow spiritually and come very close to those I was helping. In the end we all came very close friends and did everything together.
