Hi I'm Denisha

I'm an outdoors Idaho girl. I'm going to the Columbus Ohio Mission for the next 18 months and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an outdoors girl who loves to live the gospel! I love to camp, fly-fish, hike, bike, and anything that involves being outside around nature! I love being around Heavenly Father's creations! I am involved in my ward and love to do family history and study the scriptures. I spent my junior and senior years of high school doing an online school with K12 which was very rewarding. With the announcement of the lowering of the missionary age, I have decided to go on a full-time mission. I've been called to the Columbus Ohio Mission and I'm excited to go and serve the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes me truly happy! It gives me so much comfort and peace in this world to know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers my prayers, who loves me as His child, and who loves all of us so much that He sent His Son to earth so we can have the chance to live with Him once again! It's so nice to know that when I have a difficult day or I'm discouraged that I can turn to my Father in Heaven and He can help!! It makes me feel so happy to know that! And living gospel principles and standards is what truly keeps me safe in this world we live in. I am so grateful I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Preparing to go on a mission is a big part right now of how I'm living my faith. It wasn't something I'd decided on before they lowered the age, but when they changed the age then I thought a lot about it. It took a lot of time, study, and prayer to finally decide what Heavenly Father wanted me to do. I at first had a lot of doubts and worries about serving a mission but Heavenly Father has really helped me and answered my prayers! I'm super excited to go and serve the Lord!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Denisha
You can know that Mormonism is true by first studying it out, by reading the Book of Mormon or other materials published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Then after reading and studying, ask your Father in Heaven if what you studied is true. If you truly want to know and if you are willing to act on the answer that comes then you will receive an answer. You will feel that it is right. I know this is true because I have done it. Heavenly Father is willing to answer, if we will but just ask. Show more Show less
