Hi I'm Paxton Edwards

I grew up in Nevada, USA. I am currently serving a mission. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission, and I am loving it. I enjoy dirt bike riding, shooting with my family, hanging out with my friends, and of course sharing the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was about 11 years old I developed depression. As I got older it got worse. I started going down a path that was leading to destruction. I contemplated the darkest abyss. What brought me back out of it was the restored Gospel. It brought me peace, and I was once again able to feel the love of my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but began to stray in Junior High. At the end of my High School career I didn't know if the things I had been taught my whole life were true. I needed to know, I was looking for peace. I was given an answer from on High. I read the Book of Mormon, and I prayed about it, as we ALL should. I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is a true record by the power of the Holy Ghost. You too can have this divine manifestation, you would never regret it.

How I live my faith

Every day I go and serve the Lord, and bring His love to others around me. I try to be upbeat, and positive about everything, as to not drag anyone down. I stand up for what I believe to be right, and will not lower my standards, even if the philosophies of the world dictate otherwise.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Paxton Edwards
The Word of Wisdom is a health law that was revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith. It is a law that is designed to keep our bodies healthier, that we may be able to more effectively feel the Holy Ghost guiding us in our lives. We are asked to abstain from using tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs. We are also given a "list" of "do's." Such as eating grains, vegetables, fruits, and eating meat sparingly.
