Hi I'm Jim

I am a retired Marine and airline pilot, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live my older years enjoying the Texas hill country and serving others. I love spending time with my wife and our children(9) and grandchildren(20+).

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 36 years old I was enjoying life as a Marine, working hard and playing hard, but I would wonder is there more to life. I was introduced to the church by fellow Marines and the Missionaries. The organization and beliefs seem logical and a good way to raise a family but I needed to know God. One day I was spoken to and I prayed, the miracle of knowing God and having a testimony of Him loving me has shown me the truth of the gospel and why I am here and where I need to go.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what the Lord wants me to do. I try to change daily, becoming more Christ like by serving others. I have been a teacher of the youth and participated in scouts. Since retiring my wife and I have served in our churches food pantry and given of our time and resources. I try to listen to what the Lord wants me to do and because of this my wife and I our leaving shortly to serve a mission for the Church so that we may devote our talents to bringing the good news of the gospel to others who might be in the same place I was, "Isn't there more to life".
