Hi I'm Austin

I live in Northern Utah. I love to play the piano, and enjoy backpacking in the Uintah Mountains.

About Me

In one word, you could describe me as active. I love anything outdoors. Whether I am fly fishing down the Bear River, or kayaking on a lake, I love to be out in the wild. One of such activities, “backpacking”, includes hiking five to ten miles into the forest with nothing but what you can carry on your back. I find both peace and quietness in the forest as a release to get away from all the things of the world. I find the song of a bird on an early frosty morning, the smell of a campfire, and the fresh scent of the pines trees my ideal day. Recently I have taken up photography. I love the composition and skill that is required in every shot I take. I want to become a master at photography, so I can record what I see in the world, and record my own history in the course of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the spirit as I follow the teachings of the Book of Mormon. I have read these scriptures and I abide by the teachings found in them. In doing so, I have gained a sense of direction and purpose in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the service I have provided for the church. I have participated in youth programs providing service for many people in our community. I have enjoyed holding leadership positions in these youth programs, and helping my peers become more strong in their faith. I have performed many musical numbers for our church meetings. By playing piano solos for our congregation I invite a spirit of peace and love.
